"My Engineering Future" 2017
The winners of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in technical disciplines and engineering programs became participants in this year's charity project.
The project is called "My Engineering Future."
The competition was introduced to search for gifted students who are ready to participate in engineering competitions, reveal their abilities, and convince them that they are capable of building a competitive technical industry in Ukraine.
Prizewinners in the following primary disciplines were invited to participate in the competition:
Resistance of materials
Hydraulics
Theoretical mechanics
Theory of machines and mechanisms
Technical maintenance of cars
Machine parts and design basics
Descriptive geometry and geometric modeling on a PC
Computer-aided design and computer modeling systems in mechanical engineering
Processing programming on CNC machines
Interchangeability, standardization and technical measurements
The task of the competition was to defend a motivational presentation in English on the topic “My Engineering Future”. The participants’ performances were evaluated by an expert jury, which included representatives of the aviation industry, higher education institutions of Ukraine and the Charitable Foundation. To win the competition, students substantiated their own ideas about the development of engineering in the future and explained how they could become active participants in technological developments.
The winners of the Selection Competition were 8 students, who will be able to gain a unique experience by observing the aircraft design process at the largest Boeing production facilities in the USA.
